Books/Resources

Dan Jurafsky and James H. Martin’s Speech and Language Processing (3rd ed. draft), as well as select online articles and papers introduced along the way.

Google Colab

We will be using the Google Colaboratory (“Colab”) for some class work. To use it, you will need to have a Google account.

JupyterHub

Some classwork may also be done using JupyterHub, which is a browser-based programming environment hosted on a server at the university. The specifics of accessing JupyterHub will be given as needed. Most work may be done using Google Colab, but some NLP tools will be easier to use using the custom environment prepared for this class.
